Authentic Traditional Thai Massage Cher Hunter, MA, CMT, RYT
|

Participants develop skill in a complete 2-hour protocol in
Traditional Thai Massage during this 42 hour, 6 week program.
This course covers the history, philosophy and cultural context
of Traditional Thai Massage, and includes detailed instruction in
the use of the Thai massage techniques of palming, thumbing,
pressing and stretching as they are applied to the energy
pathways (Sen) in the Thai system.
Students will view step-by-step demonstrations of bodywork
techniques, followed by hands-on practice with coaching in
proper body mechanics. A detailed handout is provided.
This course is ideal for therapists who are serious about
learning Thai massage and developing a high level of skill.
Because the program is taught in six 7-hour sessions, with at
least one week between sessions, participants have adequate
time to practice and assimilate the material from each session,
building on each previous session and developing skill; this is
an advantage over intensive weekend workshops. This
program presents Authentic Thai Massage as it is taught in
Northern Thailand.
Currently there are no scheduled classes.
However, private training for serious students,
one-on-one or in very small groups is available by
appointment.
